A P-47D Thunderbolt of the 78th Fighter Group as it might have appeared just after D-Day. This aircraft sports full "invasion stripes" and the 78th's checkered engine cowling which is adorned with this artist's fanciful "Varga-style" nose art. Loaded with a 105 gallon drop tank, she is ready to take off on another mission.
Limited edition of only 100, from a Graphite original, printed in Sepia tone and available in two sizes and papers. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist.
